Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor, often ''EGT''

An outboard meter and sensor that is installed into the exhaust system close to the head that measures exhaust gas temperature. Along with a Wide Band O2 and Data Logging, can be a very effective tool for Ecu Tuning.

Assuming a properly tuned Air Fuel Ratio, EGTs generally provide insight into how accurate the ignition timing is.
